EASY WAY TO INSTALL MTK PRELOADER VCOM DRIVERS ON WINDOWS 8, 8.1, 10
After so much googling and trial and error methods, I finally found a very easy way to install mtk vcom drivers which is required if you have any intention of using the sp flash tool.
REQUIREMENTS
- working brain.
- vcom drivers [download here]
- windows pc
PROCEDURES
DISABLING DRIVER SIGNATURE VERIFICATION [WINDOWS 8]
- swipe out the charm bar. (win+c)
- click "Change PC Settings"
- click General in the left hand side
- then just below the "Advanced Startup" click restart now. the PC should restart immediately, then it will display a blue screen with options, select the " Troubleshoot" option.
- then click the Advanced Options
- then click the Startup Settings and restart. the PC will restart and show some options.
- Now click F7 to disable Driver Signature Verification. then restart PC
DISABLING DRIVER SIGNATURE VERIFICATION [WINDOWS 10]
- Click the windows key
- Then click settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced Startup (Restart now)
- Then click the Startup Settings and restart. the PC will restart and show some options.
- Now click F7 to disable Driver Signature Verification. then restart PC
INSTALLING MTK VCOM PRELOADER DRIVER
- Now open the vcom folder, rightclick on the usb2ser_Win764, usb2ser_Win7 and MDMCPQ, then click install.
- this is the response you should get (image below). viola! you can now flash that stock/custom rom after restarting your Pc.
