How to bypass Android lockscreen if you forget your password; pin or lock pattern

Forgot your password or lock pattern? Don't worry, you can still unlock your phone without losing your files or paying a dime to anyone. Just follow our simple procedures to securely unlock your phone now.

If you must lock your phone, use a simple password. Trust me, the people you're trying to lock out from using your phone won't even bother to attempt your password if they accidentally or mischievously collect your phone from you.

If you're locking your phone because you think it would protect your  personal data from thieves if your phone is eventually stolen, then you're totally deceiving yourself.

However, If you're locking your phone so your kids, friends or siblings won't have access to your apps and data, please use a simple password.

How to unlock an android phone if you have forgotten your password, Pin lock or lock pattern. 


Method #1 Using Android Device Manager

  • Get another phone with a strong Internet connection, or from a computer, visit: https://google.com/android/devicemanager
  • Sign in using your Google account login details that you also used on your locked phone.
  • In the Android Device Manager interface, select the device you need to unlock (if it isn’t already selected).
  • Select ‘Lock’
  • A new window will pop up, enter a temporary password. You don’t have to enter a recovery message. Now click ‘Lock’ again.

If it was successful, you should see a confirmation below the box with the buttons Ring, Lock and Erase.

On your phone you should now see a password field in which you should enter the temporary password. This should unlock your phone.

Now, before you start smiling and move on with your life, go to your phone’s lock screen settings and disable the temporary password.
That’s all!

Method #2 Bypass Android lockscreen through Custom recovery [TWRP][CWM] [ROOT]

To attempt this procedure, your phone must have root access, a custom recovery and a sdcard inserted. 

This is actually this easiest method to bypass Android lockscreen pattern or pin it doesn't matter.

  • Now just boot up your phone in recovery mode (power + volume up).
  • Then flash this file: pattern password disable.zip
  • Reboot your phone, if it still prompt you to type in a password, just type anything that comes to your mind, or use any random pattern, your phone will be unlocked immediately, but note the new password or pattern. 
  • Now go to your security settings and set a new password. 

Method #3 Unlock Pattern Lock On Android Without Losing Data


  1. After downloading Aroma File Manager, place it in your memory card (SD card). Insert the memory card into your locked android device.
  2. Open Stock Recovery Mode or custom recovery by rebooting your android device then press Power Key and Volume up key simultaneously while it's rebooting. Different phones may be have different methods to open stock recovery mode so if you face any problem Google is your friend.
  3. After entering into recovery mode use Volume+ and Volume- buttons to scroll up and down. Then select with power button.
  4. From there click on “Install Zip from SD Card” and give a path to install “Aroma File Manager” from SD card.
  5. After installing, it will open in recovery mode.
  6. From the Aroma File Manager navigate to settings >> go to bottom and click on“Automount all devices on start” and then exit.
  7. Repeat Step 4 & 5 again.
  8. After this you will get “Aroma File Manager” opened again.
  9. Now navigate to Data Folder >> System Folder and find >> “gesture.key”or“password.key” for pattern lock or password lock respectively.
  10. Delete that any one file and then exit aroma file manager and reboot your android device. After rebooting you will notice that password or pattern lock not removed. But don’t worry draw any pattern and you will open your android device but remember or note that pattern.
